Can I dye my eyebrows with at-home hair dye?

Question

I buy the stuff in a box (Clairol or Revlon) from a drug store. I use is all the time to dye my hair. Can I rub a little on my eyebrows? My brows never match my hair. Help. Thanks.

as it says on the box....no.

if you try it anyway, be sure to rinse and shampoo immediately if it starts stinging. the color may not take very well but at least you still have your eyebrows. oh and depending on how much you have colored your hair in the past, it may not match the eyebrows even when using the same color.

i'd leave that one to a pro. Most of the do-at-home products have ammonia, which can cause blindness. You see, when they apply the product in the salon, they do it while you're laying down, so you won't risk any of it dripping into your eyes. Plus most of the times the do it at home dyeing won't match the color you want, especially if your brows are dark.

i wouldn't advise it, go to a salon and get it done instead. at home kits can turn out horrible, a lot (most) of the time it turns out orange, and you can't grow out your eyebrows that much, so you'd have to get it done at a salon to fix it anyway. did i mention the risk at home eyebrow dying has on your face and eyes? you can irritate your face and can go permanently blind!! id pay the money rather than lose my sight or look like ronald mcdonald with orange brows

for some reason it says on the box NOT to do this, so I'm assuming there must be a reason behind it. If you want to be safe then spend the money and have it done professionally. Don't want to think about what the consequences will be if something goes wrong.
