I am planning on serving 200+ people hot chocolate and want to come up with the easiest and most inexpensive way to prepare the hot chocolate. I have 2 large perc. coffee pots - has any one tried filling a percalor with hot water & mixing containers of dry hot chocolate mix? What about Nestle hot chocolate syrup. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Dry mix- people can make it to taste then and you have what is left for future use rather then pots of hot cocoa that you would just trash. Also you don't want all that chocolate scum in your coffee pot. I can't say it would harm it...but it seems like it would be difficult to clean.

I would fill the large perc. coffee pots with boiling hot water and serve the hot chocolate dry mix (swiss miss is really good) on the side, don't forget the mini marshmallows. Let people make there own drinks and add what they want.

I would go for an instant powder mix that you just add hot water to. You will need a 2kg tin from a food wholesaler.
