They are paid to discover ways to treat diseases NOT cure any...that is why they are all so hot to trot about getting control of the supplement industry...because it is rather hard to make money off of something that you can grow yourself unless YOU control it..although from the look of the Pot growth industry in this country that theory has some serious holes in it.

The very first supplement that was banned(wolfbane) was KNOWN to lower bloodpressure and is still a well known ingredient in Chinese and Aryuvedic treatments...

Well, multibillion dollar medical companies are composed of employees. Employees are people. I think you'd have difficulty finding thousands of people with a common goal of milking the public dry. There may be company policies that hinder employees helping. You can complain about the cost of medical treatment and drugs. But, someone has to pay the guys that have studied for 7-10-15 years on how to treat disease and cure illness. You have to look at how much it cost to get a drug to market. Anywhere along the way the drug can go belly-up. I beleive Pfizer just recently stopped all studies on a drug that had spent millions trying to develope. I'm not defending the medical industry. I've had surgery before. The MRIs and doctor bills were staggering. But, I ain't dead. And, I work in the healthcare industry. I know many of the people that some would think are greedy bastards. They are not. We give away so much stuff it would shock you.
And, to those that would discount Western medicine and idolize alternative medicine I say 3$#@%. Many western medicines started out as natural medicines. Some have been tweaked, but many are the same as when they were extracted from this plant or that animal. The difference between those and the natural medicines is that they have PROVEN efficacy. The alternative medicine industry rakes in billions each year. Yet, there is little, or no, proof. The companies have the means to study and supply the proof, but they don't. Why would they? They supply a product that they can claim treats/cures everything with no side effects. They don't have to prove it. Since there are no real standards, they don't even have to prove that their product even contains the miraculous active ingredient.
BTW, many medicine treat, but do not cure, illness because you would have to change the genetic structure of the patient to cure them in many cases. That's kind of hard.

Western medicine uses limited reasources to "cure" their patients. If Medical Insurance Companies truly cared then they would expand to cover alternative medicine remedies as well.

If more alternative medicine would be used then alot of western medicine doctor would go out of business.

I think they are more interested in the money than your health.I believe with a healthy life style people could eliminate a a lot of the medicine they take.

it's like asking how important your life is to the funeral services providers.
I'm not saying their products aren't good or something like that, it's just that in the end money matters the most.

they make more money if you are sick, but if you die then they do not make any money therefore i would have to say that they would like you to have issues, not extreme health problems you could die from.
flu, cold, any minor disease, a missing limb, anything that causes pain but not death is perfect in their eyes, lol.

Simple. If their product does not make you better, you won't buy it.
