Toys for Tots, Coats for Kids, the United Way, and local food banks offer services you may be able to use. Since you have internet access, look them up. Given the ages of your children, they won't even know what is going on anyway. I couldn't tell you one thing I got for Christmas before age 10, but I do remember Christmas being mysterious and exciting as a kid. You can do that for free with some imagination and creativity.

when my kids were 1 and 2 i was equally stressed out so we took our bill money and bought christmas. they were small enough that i had another cart while my hubby and i pointed out presents together. really i'd go to a dollar bill store and get a bunch of toys for their age for $1 looks like a lot then. Last year i was in this boat and relied completely on nothing but toys for tots and with a lot of other people just using them to get extra presents we didn't get much and what we did get wasn't really great or anything that their age brackets were. They were upset and cried after opening their presents. When they are older that is when it matters. Organizations sometimes don't know when you are really guaranteed telling the truth. They think all you want is something for nothing. Yes my husband works to keep a roof over our head too. Being wal mart has quit lay away our christmas looks bleak and possibly non existent. We can't afford a christmas tree but that is when i bawl the most when we can't afford Christmas. To raise kids to and a mom to stay home to be cheaper than pay a babysitter it gets extremely hard. There is now only one income and solely the one income and if anything happens to that one income there isn't the other to rely on. Good luck with your on line degree i am checking into it myself. One of the reasons I make sure I have my internet paid adn net isn't expensive really with certain dial ups. any more today people make you do everything on the internet and its such a household need. Though your boys aren't old enough for school now you still live in a school district ask them for help or ideas of where you can go to get help. Is there a community center around your area? If so go there and see what can be done. Go to police station as another suggestion was but remember only one organization will help you most of the time so if you seek help from your community center you won't be able to seek help for toys through another center. More people than want to admit it have been in your predictament. Sometimes we can't help ending up being in this predictament especially when we are just getting by with bills and winter bills hit not to mention the holidays. Though it won't be as wonderful bake some cookies with your kids to leave for santa and pump up the santa story a bit. The magic of what they feel of toys whether they are homemade.. besides that is really what santa does in the stories isn't it, they make their own toys! ;) just some suggestions. since i can't afford a tree this year we are going to invent our own tree. That is making it special.... now the presents i am still working on that and both my husband and i work. He was hurt and layed off of work for a year.

Gives a box of food that can feed your family for at least two weeks, for $25. You can definitely save some money that way. Many locations in TN.

If you're in the middle-TN area,

Type in your zip, find the closest location. They can do so much for people in need.

(Nashville area)
Your local police force may be doing something. Call them. Never hurts to ask.

Local churches. Call your local newspaper and tv stations. They'll know of places.
Good luck!

Some of the people have given you the same ideas I would. Keep your head up and don't listen to negative, judgmental people. I hope you have a blessed Christmas with your little family all together and that you succeed in your college degree. God Bless!

Goto the local fire dept and police dept...sometimes they fund stuff like that...and at age one and two, they wont really know anyhow...Just spend 10.00 on each of them, surely you have that...and if your college is paid for, think of the things you will be able to buy them when you get a job...
