As long as you are both over 18 everything is cool. Your grad student friends may find it odd that you're dating a college freshman. You'll need to be faithful to her despite their potential teasing.
What do both sets of parents think? Family approval is key to your long term success as a couple.
Put off marriage until you are able to financially support her. Encourage her to go to college and pursue her interests as well.

No, just as long as the maturity level is the same. You can usually spot out a high schooler from across the room once your about 20. Im 23 as well. And 18 year old girls annoy me. And if you do date her and she goes to college your going to have to deal with all the annoying freshman things. Like how cool it is to get as drunk as possible etc. But she may not even be into all that. Age difference doesnt really matter, its more about the person. But I personally wouldnt...id say 20 and up. Just because in general, and 18 year old still has alot to learn an experience to be on your level.

Humm. When I was 23 I wouldnt even look at a teenager regardless of the fact if it was legal or not. You have to remember though she is only 18 and there will be events you will want to attend that she will either not be able to or will not be comfortable attending. I too went to graduate school and couldnt imagine what I would have had in common with someone of that age

The age difference doesn't really mean much because when you're 30, she'll be 26. I would base your decision on her maturity level. There can be a significance difference in the mindset of an 18 year old and a 23 year old.

Well, you're gonna have to think about the future. Age doesn't matter, but you're gonna be graduating from college and ready to pursue a career and move forward in your life. She's gonna be graduating from high school and ready to go to college. It can work out, but you'll have to be willing to accept the fact that she is gonna have school that comes first. I'm in the same boat, my girlfriend is a sophmore in college and I just graduated a year ago. But since I accepted the fact that school come first and I support her in that. We have been just fine.

Stop this nonsense, 5 years is a lot. she is almoast a child, she just got to mature age not long ago. At this age they seek someone older, seniour, etc. Dont continue this. she will find another one anyway, you will too, but that realtionship can really screw up a lot.Imagine how will your life be in 2 years and you will understand. She is still young, she changes boyfriends, you wont be her one true love now

Yeah, buddy she is too young for you. She is just starting her life and you are ready for life. She is still a kid experiencing life and you are a man with a few life experiences under your belt. She is at the age where it's all about having fun and flirting with college guys is included in that. Go on with your life and find someone closer to your age or older.

i think that age is not a factor as long as both of you are legal, but other ppl so far are correct, there will be issues down the road because you are on different levels. being 4 years apart is a gap in life, i used to date a guy 5 years older than me and we were so alike, but things didn't work out because we were at different points in life, sounds similar to me.

I would make sure she is 18, you would not want to find out down the line she is really only 16 and be in trouble. Good luck
