This is difficult for me to answer because I have heard my Girlfriend make similar noises in the bathroom at my house. When I walked up to the door the first time I also heard the sink running? I asked one day if she needed help or something and she said she was just brushing her teeth.
Apparently my Girlfriend likes to brush her teeth several times a day and as part of the brushing ceremony she also flushes the toilet and sprays air freshener? So now everytime I brush my teeth I flush the toilet. I don't understand why but it makes my girlfriend happy!

She should eat less carbonated beverages as well as stay away from spicy food. Cabbage, beans and sometimes lactose (ie milk or milk derivates) can also make someone get more bloated. The idea to try not to have food that makes her fart or get diarrhea.

Tell her kindly,that you can hear her in the toilet. Maybe explain that when she is passing stool,to simultaneously flush the toilet or turn the water in the sink on. I'm sure she isn't aware or she would be embarassed.Be tactful please. Good luck
