Practically all lands have been stolen. The Caananites, you can be sure, had earlier exterminated or driven out some other tribe. Use it or lose it--the land belongs to whoever can make the best use of it, which usually results in also creating the best defense of it.

We KNOW Israel is ours, because G-d promised us this land. Hnce the term "promised Land"!!!!!
