Limewire is good software i still use it to this day. I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. If you are looking for a good peer to peer software to download music, softwares/programs and videos you should get limewire too.
It's a safe and reliable pogram but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. It does not matter what P2P program you use, you always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

Limewire never asked me for money when I used it (although that was only for a day as it was useless).
There are a few different downloads on the site aren't there, you sure you didn't download the wrong one?

Goto Limewire you can search for what you want and then download it then burn it to a cd. For Free

just download the basic version then search for the pro version in limewire and hey presto free upgrade to pro, hope this helps

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.
