Every church be it catholic, baptist, lutheren, whatever, has politics, it is a business. Why? Jesus did not come to set up a "religion" I hate religion, it has been so twisted and manipulated. I am not a religious person. I am a spiritual person with a relationship with the Lord. Why can't church be based on that? And please don't say your church is not that way, they all are and as you get more involved you see it more and more, Why?

It's human nature. You always have politics in the church, in the office, in the knitting club, between the parents of the little kids on the ball team...

I hate politics and prefer to just focus on my life and my interests, not everyone elses, but most people simply are not that way!

i know exactly what you mean, and the Bible say's that this will happen.

2 Timothy 4:3-4
3 For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.

I study the Bible with the Jehovah's Witnesses and they don't have 'church politics. What they teach is to learn about God and Jesus through the Bible, and to develop a relationship like you said. Really they're not like the others, just give them one chance and you will see I promise.

you will desire to honestly ask that query approximately African-American church homes in view that they have been heavily in touch in politics by way of fact the Sixties. they'd desire to have lost their tax exemption previously. LDS, besides the fact that, isn't doing something diverse than the Democratic occasion did by employing getting out the black vote to insure President Obama's election. the version is LDS has ethical motives (as befits a Church), at the same time as the Dems have been only after funds and skill.

You are right. Every church needs a LITTLE bit of leadership and SOME money to meet monthly expenses. It is a shame so many are caught up in worldly and ungodly practices and rules. I can’t understand why human thought allows this to happen. It is disgraceful at best. Maybe individual wealth would need to be leveled before all churches could actually get on track.

~~~ sammy,,,You've only just recently removed some of the Veils of Ignorance, which in turn effects a gain in your Awareness. Now you just need a few more veils to be removed and you will soon recognize, just as you did with their "religion and church", the fallibility of their model of "the Lord" ie; which you still cling to as your Master. You are a Freethinker. Keep searching, studying and questioning The Authority of ANY organized Religion. The more you educate yourself about people's religion the better you will Understand them and their Rationale,,, but you will be better able to Refute their contentions in an Intelligent, non emotional manner. No Religion can stand up to Honest scrutiny and Intelligent(ie Informed) inquiry. I have never lost a debate,,, even to those in The Clergy.
It all goes back to the institutionalization of the church during the third century. Anytime a body of humans decides that it needs to incorporate politics will develop. Politics is an outgrowth of pride----the devil is responsible for this. Pastors have the ability to stop it in its tracks, but most are afraid to do so out of fear of losing their pulpits.
Because humans are involved. It's not just a Christian thing. Many covens, Mosques and Buddhist study groups struggle with the same issues.
I totally agree, I was never confused about Christ until I started going to church. It's ridiculous, nothing is done according to faith, grace, or mercy.
