My boyfriend and I had been dating for 3 year when we split up for about 2 months. During that time he was seeing another girl. We started talking again and decided to give it another try. He told the other girl that I was "late" so he was going to be with me again. I didn't like that he lied to her but he said it was easier that way because he didn't want to hurt her and she would not call anymore. Well for a while she called ocationally but he said he never returned her calls or messages. The other day I went through his phone and found that he had sent her a text message and when I asked if he had hear from her latley he said not at all. I really don't think he is cheating on me. What do I do next?

He lied to the other girl, what makes you so special. If he's hiding things from you then more than likely he's been lying to you also.

That's just sketch and you know it is too.

He obviously lied to you as you stated and of course lies are the beginning of the end. Even if he isn't cheating on you, he's lying to you and cheating will probably come next.

Two options:

1) Take him for his "word" and trust him and continue with the relationship-you may end up continuing to wonder about his faithfulness, interest and honesty often in the back of your mind and you'll end up posting back on Yahoo! answers with more questions

2) Leave him alone (if your gut/instinct is already dictating that he's cheating or in some other way not being true to you then follow it) at least for awhile and do your own thing and if you do decide to allow him in your life at all then you set the pace and tone of how he fits in, which will help you protect yourself and your feelings.

You can sit back and be a dummy like me and believe his words with your heart, but your eyes and your head know that he is lying! Funny this question came up today... I found out at lunch that my husband has been seeing someone else behind my back. We just got back together last week, I left because I found out about the other woman! Oh he swore it was over and that he would NEVER see her again... bullpoop!
First of all you know that he lied to you because you found the proof in his phone, so if he is doing nothing wrong... then why lie to you.
Good luck with your situation but I doubt it will get any better. Somewhere (maybe in Mongolia) there are men that can be trusted, buy a plane ticket and get away from him. If is lying about this, then what else is he lying to you about also?

Cheating or not if you feel you can not trust him its time to move on. And by your actions of going through his phone to see who he calls or text messages that kinda shows your either jealous or dont trust him which is it?!

basically i think he may be infatuated with her, and the thought of something different. what do u do next? well you could confront him and asked why he lied to you, chances are u won't get an honest answer, so you're gonna have to ask yourself is this relationship worth the heartache, lies and whatever else you might have to endure.

If he wrote her and she didn't reply then he really hasn't heard from her lately. Just remind him that she makes you uncomfortable if it comes up again. He should be able to cut off contact with her if they were only together for a couple months.

Maybe he feels bad for her because she still likes him. But it is still very shady, especially because he lied about it. I've learned from painful experience that little lies lead to bigger and bigger ones, so you should be careful.
