I sure hope not...that is really bad. Why are we paying for foreigners who aren't legally here? It doesn't make sense. Tehy deserve basic human rights, but not full American rights...

The Senate did indeed vote for this as part of the McCain/Kennedy Immigration Reform bill. However, the bill was rejected by the House and was never sent to the president for signature into law. This all occured back in May of this year.

I have heard talks about it, but not sure if it was actually voted on yet. I sure hope not. Thats pretty f*cked up that people that are not supposed to be here in the first place get social security benefits. Mine and your taxes pay for that kind of sh*t.

They have been getting social security benefits. Many of them acquire social security numbers illegally and use it to get social security. The Democrats would like to make them all citizens, which is madness.

I know it was a thought a while back.. but I don't know if it is still on the table... I haven't heard anything about it recently.. I did a search and couldn't find anything recent on it either... mainly from 2005- my guess is it must have been shot down and that is why this whole rallying and protesting stuff started

sort of google TIN it's a tax scam,, a total political scam to shut up the middle class and to favor the elites,,,in the long run it doesn't even help the illegals,,,,if your illegal i wouldn't suggest getting a TIN
