.....feel guilty about simply ignoring texts and calls from the girl you were seeing so that she knows it's over, instead of being man enough to finish with her?

Imagine that she's done nothing wrong - you had a good time together but you were just on the rebound. Would you contact her again if nothing better came along?

All responses welcome but please no abuse.

First of all, if HE was on the rebound and YOU knew it, you shouldn't have expected a lengthy relationship in first place. Rebound relationships are only there to get you "back in the game". But I will say this: the least he could do would be to bring the relationship (no matter how short it was) to a proper close. At the same time though, he shouldn't face any of those relationship "exit exams", nor should there be any sort of psychoanalysis of the REBOUND relationship. Repetitive texting and calling are sure signs that you were reading more into the relationship than he was, so maybe you should analyze yourself on that point. Other than that, I say get back out there and find yourself a better man.

It depends on what you mean by 'finish.' For the average guy, "It's over" is sufficient as far as he's concerned. Guys don't feel the need for 8 hours of exit interviews where you give them a psychological anal exam. If he thinks it's been properly announced, he's likely to ignore followup calls because he thinks you're stalking him and can't let go.

Yes, he should just be honest and respectful. Guys usually won't do that to avoid feeling like a dog. (A guy thing) Plus, most all the time the girl will still call afterwards, stalk etc;. So, if he was polite enough to end it with considerations, then the girl should just let it go, they just usually don't. (A girl thing)

Thats pretty lame on his part... He should be man enough to tell it like it is...of course in a nice way...

I could not live with myself if I ignored someone that was interested in me, especially if I went out with her...

Don't waste your time with him...obviously he does not respect you...
Move on and find someone that will treat you right and is worthy of your time...

Good luck!!!

Sounds like a worm to me. You don't really need him. If he does contact you make sure you are too busy for him, preferably with a nice guy who won't treat in such a shabby manner.
