I fully understand. I think they blame the parents because they dont know the real reason!
Keep calling them, and tell THEM your not being passed around anymore. Ask to speak to the head of department. You can also make a complaint, I think they have a standard complaints form which they must answer in a certain period of time.
I had this problem with an adhd child for nearly 5 years and only now am i getting somewhere.
Dont let them shut you out, CHIN UP and go girl!
Ps. I have heard that they dont do much with a primary school pupil as it eats up too much council money!!!!! Thats why on education they will only help at secondry school age.... and by that time the child has fallen far behind on their education and finds it hard to ever catch up.
Through experience it has taken moving to a new school to push things along with the NHS for help with my child. They are much more positive and willing to get help.
I think that is the reason why i am getting somewhere today.
Good luck...... mums rule!!!!!!lol

it is VERY hard, I know. My sister and mom have gone through the same thing!! No one cares. They all say the best interest is in the child and for the child, but when it comes down to it, its all about the money and how much they can hurt the families. You can't do anything to help it. Parents are blamed due to the other people not wanting to be blamed for anything!!!

Contact your MP.
He/she ought to be able to give some constructive help.
You could also ring a special needs school ddirect and ask to speak to the Head....they are usually very accommodating.

I agree with Morganna. maybe you can found an organization for that. i'm sure there are many other parents out there that feel the same as you and don't know where to turn, you could be the shoulder for them and they for you and together you could get something done for these children.

I think if you need to be heard now adays you need to get help from the papers,,as most people read them,,, others will see that you need help and it will be more a upfront issue ..if people don't listen,, they do when you shout and i think the papers are a good way of shouting

Have you tried your local Independent Living Centers? They won't be able to offer you svcs cuz children can't live independently but they may have some ideas on where you could find help.

Sounds like you've found your calling, why not found your own organization to help others in your situation?
