The person who said it is Puerto Rican so maybe that is how it is spelled or pronounced in Puerto Rico!

it depends if you are telling a man or a woman. usually men use the word te amo but us ladies say "te queiro" and in a sentence after he tells you he loves you, you say "yo tambien te quiero mucho mi amor"
