How many different phone numbers can be made using one area code and prefix i.e.:828-321-XXXX ???

10 million. thats provided some ones number is a 3 digit prefix followed by 000-0000 as there number. oops i didnt realize you meant the area code and the prefix also, yes all the others that answered 10,000 are correct.

You can have numbers 0 to 9 for the first X,
same goes for second, third and fourth X.

Which means 10*10*10*10 = 10.000
