cuz if he is staring and then you look @ him n he quickly looks away asap.......how are you meant to tell?

If this is what you are seeing, it's a pretty good sign that he likes what he sees, but maybe he's a bit shy. Sometimes guys can be that way if he sees a really good looker. He says to himself, "God, she's nice!" and he really fancies you but he's not sure how to approach you, or what to say to you without sounding like a bit of a prat. Next time, he looks away, keep looking at him until he looks at you again, and when he does, smile at him. If he looks away again but kind of smiling to himself at the same time, then you can be sure it's you he's looking at and that he fancies you. This is just the early stages of flirting. I'll leave it up to to carry on from here.

Quite clearly if he's looking in your direction then I'd take that as a pretty safe bet he's looking your way... if you're not sure, best carry a mirror round, then you can decide if it's your lovely face he's looking at or a big zit on your nose.
