exactly There is no fear of what my tattoos will look like with age because I will age gracefully, and even if i got all saggy. I'd still be damn proud because they are going to be a reminder of my life now. And as far as telling my kids I'd be like hell yea i have tattoos, you can get them if you want to when you're ready just be smart about it. So yes no regrets.

No regrets.
My mom always wanted to get a tattoo and died at 46 of cancer. My take on things is, I don't really know how long I'll be around, so why not enjoy life and my body now, and worry about the consequences later? :)
I am very cautious about where I place my tattoos. They are all hidden, but when exposed are very large and vivid. I work in an office and no one sees any of my art unless I want them to. I've just kept all the placement hidden enough that if I end up as a kindergarten teacher someday, they probably won't be showing.

I have over 150 tiny blue and green stars around my waist-I feel they represent the people and places I have encountered in my lifetime and made an impact. I got them a few at a time at different parlors across the country. I have 5 on my left wrist representing my nuclear family who I grew up with, and 7 on the back of my neck for my new Hawaiian family. I have had 2 babies, am pregnant with #3, and they still look fantastic. I have heard every stupid line you can imagine from guys all over the country. I just always knew I was going to get them; then, when I met my husband, he had Sailor Jerry/50's flash surrounded by same matching stars on 3 tats!
I think if people take care of their skin & body, old age will take care of you. They might fade a little, but the meaning is always there.

I so far have not had a problem with my tattoo.. its on my back . I had my son about a year and 3 months after I got it. It still looks the same as it did.
Its just an outline of a hibiscus flower. I remember going to florida and seeing them every where. They were really pretty and the best memories of my family. so when my dad passed away, i chose that to remember the good times.

no, i don't worry about how they will look when i age. my mom is 50 now and she doesn't look it. she has taken good care of herself and i plan on doing the same. and frankly... i'm pretty sure that by the time i am in my sixties or older i really won't care if my skin is sagging and i have wrinkly tattoos or whatever. PLUS most of my friends now have tattoos and i only forsee more people getting tattoos SO there will be a whole generation of OLD people with wrinkley tattoos. i'm not worried about it. i love my tattoos and wouldn't not have them for any reason.

I see mine the same way. I have 5 and they all mean something to me. They were a time in my life that I can look back on and have great memories. I would never put anything on my body that I would look back on and regret. It is so important to put a lot of thought into what you are going to get tattooed. And mine aren't in any visible place that would look bad when its aged!!

my opinion approximately ancient men and women with tattoos is that each person will get unsightly whilst there ancient, so who quite cares if u have a wrinkly tattoo! haha however the wrist and foot is a well position since that dosent get too wrinkly, the higher arm is the worst.. have you ever obvious ancient peoples palms, there flopping approximately in all places! the ribs may be a well position rationale that dosent get too wrinkly. however my opinon is who cares what men and women say or suppose, get what you desire :)

I have no regrets about mine, either!! :)
And I look at it this way:
When I'm old, and in a nursing home (or something to that effect), chances are, most of the old wrinklies in there with me are going to be covered in tattoos also!
And besides, it's not like I'm going to be running around in a string bikini when I'm that age, anyhow.
It really gets on my nerves when people give me the "Well what about when you're 70?" line. *grrrr*
But I feel beautiful with them now, and I'm pretty sure I always will!!

The bigger concern is not liking them when you get older. I thought the Budweiser emblem was cool when I was 18 but now that I am 40 its not as cool. You can always get tattoos touched up and recolored to look nice as you age but its hard to cover them up or remove them. Telling a story is great as long as you are willing and wanting other people to read it.

I agree with you 110%.
I see them as being stories and memories of things from the past. They matter to me now and they will later on, even if they are a bit faded and wrinkled. Plus there are small things that can be done to ensure the tattoo stays nice (touch ups and whatnot)
