Umm because the girl isn't always in the mood, or sometimes they just feel like doing it alone? It's kinda like their alone time in a sense, it's not unnatural for a guy to wanna get off on his own. If I were you, I'd just be understanding of it and respect that he'd like his own privacy at times; just because he masturbates doesn't mean he doesn't love you... oh and by the way, chances are he's thinking about you when he's getting off. I know i think about my girl when I do it lol, so yeah it's most likely the same with him.

Honestly, it's part of a fantasy thing. And would you really want your bf to just jump on you 3 times a day whenever he wants to? Wouldn't that make you feel kind of like his personal "toy" that he just plays with whe he has the urge--even if you're not in the mood? Besides, convenience is a big issue. Just talk to him. I'm sure he'd like to hear that you're more than willing to compromise with him about sex. ;) (Never let anyone be too dependent on you, especially if all they will ever expect out of you is sex)

He may not want to bother you in case you aren't feeling well or any other reason because things do happen in daily life "headache". Just because he does this, does not mean he does not care about you. He is just giving himself a quick cheap thrill that is not hurting anyone.

The way his actions make you feel are your issue and something you can control. He probably won't stop, and its okay to understand if he has a preference for masturbation over sex with you (I doubt it). But ultimately this is your problem, not his.
Talk to him about it, but don't try to change him.
