God I hope it isn't bad for dogs, my dog LOVES turkey! :)
Like the others said, refrain from giving your dog the bones or skin - as long as the meats thoroughly cooked, it should be fine.

No it isn't that turkey is bad for dogs it's the bones from the turkey ! Because the bones splinter and can stick in the throat or tear the stomach.

I think those people may be referring to the Thanksgiving turkey, yes it is bad to give the skin and the bones.
Turkey in a high quality dog food is different and okay to feed your dog. You want to watch out for corn, by-products, wheat and other fillers when choosing a dog food. Talk to your vet about what ingredients are important and which are fillers. Remember, first and foremost, your dog is a carnivore. The first few ingredients of your dog food SHOULD be meat.

Turkey _bones_ can be bad for dogs, because, like chicken bones, they can splinter and not pass through the digestive system properly. But I would think properly cooked turkey, cooled quickly to room temp, with no bones, would be an okay treat for your dog.

Turkey is fine. Maybe you heard about the skin being fatty and that being bad for dogs? That would be true, but the meat itself is just fine.

Turkey is great for dogs, just not the fatty parts.
It really helps to feed a hyperactive dog a turkey based dog food..It helps them focus..

I never heard of that before. Turkey is fine for them, just don't give him bones. Now about pork.....I'm not sure if pork is good for them. I don't think I ever saw pork in dog food.
