Does anyone still believe Jesus dies on the cross? I believe all of that, but it seems like there's been a huge decline in people believing. Please tell me why this world is falling apart.

Well lots of people believe that Jesus died on a cross .... that doesn't mean that he is GOD/Son of GOD for that. I mean lots of criminals had been crucified too!

The world (of religion) is falling apart.... but hopefully soon before its too late! Religious people believe that the second coming is soon, thus its pointless try to solve environmental problems... that AIDS is a curse from God, so why bother about finding a cure... while thousands of innocent children die or orphaned in Africa. That's how religion is contributing to the world destruction and hopefully it falls apart before its late!

Steven Weinberg :"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. "

You can have a different view on the issue.. but it won't change the fact that religion is causing harm by the hand of those people!

Dear Child of God, don't despair, its a narrow path to Heaven and few will seek it. All is happening just as foretold. Those in the faith are to encourage one another. Try not to stay on the R & S site too long, there are some truly evil folks on it. Keep in fellowship with believers and enjoy this wonderful time of the year as we remember the dear Savior's birth.

This is for boshhhhhhh..... and anyone else who wants to read it.

I am a Christian myself and I do believe that Jesus was a prophet. But if you are going to quote scriptures you need to quote the whole scripture and not just the part that benefits your own beliefs. For example John 8:42 says “Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.”” (whenever you see : "My", "He", "Me", "Him", "Son", "Father", "God" in the middle of a sentence it usually implies that they are talking about the almighty God. They wouldn't use "He" in the sentence if they were talking about John the Apostle or any other person, they would just use "he" or "she" in the sentence.)

As for Luke 2:21, I don't know about you, but my brothers are christians too and both of them have been circumcised. So get your facts straight.

For Matt 26:39 We Christians also fall on our faces and pray to God, but only through Jesus are our prayers heard by the Lord, God Almighty. John 14:6-7, 9-16

Once again for John 1:18, you need to quote the whole scripture which says, " No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten "Son", who is in the bosom of the "Father", "He" had declared "Him"." And if I a not mistaken declare means To reveal or make manifest; show. So this scripture that you used boshhhh.. is saying that only the one true Son of God has revealed him, Jesus knows who God is because He is God!!!
All the evidence that is found in the Bible explains why Christians believe Jesus is God and part of the Holy Trinity.

Don't get me started with the Holy Ghost and how Jesus rose on the "Third" day and ascended to the Heavens to be with His Father.
I'm on fire!!!!! I rest my case.

But look boshhh...I'm not here to show you out and make you feel anykind of way. I just want you to be well rounded with your information and use the scriptures correctly and not for your own advantages. I just want you and everyone else to see the light that I seen and still am following because you can never know too much about the Lord. My God is your God boshhh....and we are brothers and sisters in Christ. And I pray that I see you in heaven someday with me.

God Bless Mine and Everyone elses Souls.

"Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the Day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy (falling away from the faith) comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed (Antichrist) (II Thessalonians 2:3)

"And for this reason GOD will send upon them (those who are perishing; those who reject the Gospel) strong delusion so that they might believe the lie, in order that they all may be condemned, who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness (II Thessalonians 2:11,12)
See also II Timothy 3:1-5 for an accurate description of this present generation.
Come quickly Lord Jesus !

I don't think there is a decline in people believing so much as a decline in people caring. I think that when religion was taken out of schools in the 60's it was possibly the worst blow to christianity. Now children must be taught relgion at home, and so many parents these days are too lazy or just don't care enough to teach their children. This leads to an immoral society and more crime and violence.

Please read this Christians think we are antiChrist but you read this you can find out who are antiChrist.............

"They were all filled with awe and praised God, "A great Prophet has appeared among us," they said. "God has come to help his people." This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country." Luke 7:16-7
(we Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet ,why don't Christians accept that he was a prophet?

..."I have not come on my own; but he (God) sent me." John 8:42
We Muslims believe he was sent by God ,not son of God or God incarnate ,so why Christians believe he was part of trinity?

..."Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him"...
Matthew 8:24-5
We Muslims believe Jesus was like any other humanbeing, why don't Christians believe?

"On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived." Luke 2:21
We Muslims get circumcised, so why don't Christians get circumcised?

he (Jesus) fell with his face to the ground and prayed... Matthew 26:39
We Muslims fall on our faces when we pray,Why don't Christians?

"No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only"... John 1:18
We Muslims say no one has seen God ,so why Christians believe Jesus was God or part of trinity?

Dear friends We as Muslims are following all the steps of Jesus Christ teachings,

Why don't you pickup a copy of Quran and find out the truth about Jesus and God .

A lot of Christians are confused who to pray ,i can guarantee you if you read the Quran you won't get confused any more..

religion is dying out due to new facts in science constantly contradict religious books

furthermore, a history of religious wars has kind of left a black mark on religion. In fact, it is religion that has sparked our bloodiest wars. The death of violent religion will leave to a peaceful society.

In 500 years, I'd say all current major organised religions would be dead

It's not that the world is falling apart it is just changing. It's like when Pangea broke up. Does having multiple continents make Earth any less Earth?

do not worry we are indeed witnessing a great increase of paganism today but history has been full of this and has not gone away, people have quickly forgotten the upsurge in faith and human decency that occured after 9/11.
