Yes they can get welfare. I'm not into this taxation junk. It's taking money by force. Now I love helping people in any way I can, I just would rather see the people helping instead of the Govt. It never ends well in my views. I think though if we did abolish welfare in order to make sure there is a work force, then the illegals who do happen to come here and live by mommy government won't come because they can't recieve it. If we didn't have so much restrictions in America, I truely think immigration wouldn't be a problem. But there are more and more reasons that people have to keep illegals out, it's a hard topic for me. I'm switching back in forth on this issue.

I don't know how people can be so blind to the world around them but illegals do receive welfare. The same fake SSN's and ID's that allow them to work at legit business' allow them to receive welfare. The Government that fails to do a damn thing about stopping illegals from coming in and pretends that it is not a major problem has admitted in their own studies that there is a significant draw on the welfare system by illegals.

Because they are not "supposed" to be able to get welfare seeing as how they do not have any legal documentation, however, since our welfare screening system is not equiped to track down or even separate fake ss#'s from legitimate ones and the social workers are not allowed to request proof of citizenship, this will continue to be abused. What does it say of our country and it's workers when the oh so inferior illegals are outsmarting the system left and right?!

Saying that illegals get welfare is a half truth. The fact is, that an illegal cannot get any aid. However, if they have a child that is native born, then the illegal can collect benefits on behalf of the child. Hospitals are only obligated to treat life, limb, and eyesight injuries. In other words, only immediate life threatening illness or injury.

I signed a petition so hopefully that will change in the future. If you don't like it do something about it. and fyi, not everyone has the time in their life to be up to date on the news, some other things may be more important, for instance taking care of their family.

They CANT get welfare, you need a valid SS number for that, those are arguments from people that only want to promote hate instead of giving the problem a solution.The CANT get food stamps either, they get discounts on their paychecks and that doesn't return to them in any benefit.
Also a lot of them pay taxes.

They can't get welfare because all laws our enforced. They aren't here its all a figment of our imigination! We really didn't see them march in the street. They are law breakers who steal cheat and lie but nobody wants to believe. They are too scared of paying 5 dollars a head for lettuce. They would much rather get TB.

I've been asking this over and over again. I even brought up the point if illegals are getting welfare than our system is weak. They just start to ramble on with all these conspiracy theories that end up making no sense compared to the next answer. It's just best off not to question this and let those who think our system is weak enough to give illegals welfare think that.
