I would but I would like to run them over with a horse drawn buggy as I beat the horse, eating confinement raised chickens, with "hormone-laced" beef and gestation stall bred pork while at the same time shooting an excessive amount of wild game just for the pleasure of it.

don't know about running 'em over-then you have to wash the truck. Only way to keep these people in line is through education!!
Explain to urbanites and show them what they are misinformed about and WHY!! If they new anything about animals in a natural setting that would go a long way in showing the truth. PETA and groups are motivated by MONEY. A very small portion of these organization's income goes for the animals. Most of it goes for salaries and fund raising. Want the truth??? Read the book listed below!!

Maybe not with a gas-chugging SUV, but I can't stand PETA, ALF, ELF, and any of the other radical environmental/animal rights groups. They get all the (negative) press and make the rest of us treehuggers look like whackjobs.

Interesting and potentially entertaining scenario: Put a PETA member in a cage with a starving, very endangered tiger, and a gun with one bullet. Will they shoot the tiger to save themselves, or selflessly shoot themselves to feed the tiger?

I would prefer to make the PETA person pull a plow from sun-up to sun-down, and make the gas chugging SUV owner push his gas chugging SUV around town 24-7, maybe even giving rides to the elderly and infirm.

I dislike any extremist groups, no matter what the cause. PETA just so happens to disagree with my take on reality, and tramples on the "life liberty and pursuit of happiness" idea. You dont like meat and fur? Deal with it. Blowing up buildings and terrorizing innocent people in the name of an animal is asinine.

Other good ones -

PETA euthanises about 2/3 of cats and dogs they take in "sometimes, the only compassionate option is to put animals to sleep forever"

Mary Sue Sweetland, the VP of PETA, uses insulin made from dogs "I don't consider myself a hypocrite, I need my life to fight for the rights of animals."

PETA has multiple members of the ALF, the Animal Liberation Front, and extremist, violence-supporting group of individuals who firebomb labs and shelters, on their payroll!

I used to support PETA, because philosophically we're very similar. However, they've gotten too extremist. To say we need to stop killing lab mice because we perform tests on them is nonsense. Without laboratory animals, medical science more or less comes screeching to a halt. To say you want people to eat less or no meat, and to have less animals slaughtered and raised in squallor conditions is good, but if you're going to produce meat for 6.5 billion people (less vegetarians like me!) is not a pretty business!

well..im vegetarian and have accounts on PETA and used to read some of their stuff in emails but i dont agree with some of their things eg. i watched a video once about a dinner with beyonce and they were extremely nasty about her wearing fur...then laughed about it when she walked out..i thought this was for a good cause but i didnt like the way they went about it..and also when they bombarded a Burberry catwalk because burberry had used fur but in the collection that Burberry was showing there was no fur used at all and at the same time there was a catwalk going on with a designer who used fur but they did nothing about that...? its weird...

These kinds of groups just use the "environment" as a cloak for what they are really about; "anti-American anti capitalist".
