Have you ever been faced with a choice that made you think of the consequences of your actions? One part of you is saying go ahead and one part is saying stop. That is what Eph 6:12 is refering to about a spiritual war going on around us.

It depends on how we define "spiritual". If it means that which leads to and promotes awareness, love, kindness, compassion, equanimity, generosity, unity and selfless service, then a "spiritual war" is impossible, by definition.

If "spiritual" means the adoption of a particular set of supernatural beliefs, and "war" means some kind of systematic effort by many people to force others to adopt their supernatural beliefs, then "spiritual war" has been going on for thousands of years.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Many site this verse to support the idea that there is a spiritual warfare going on.

There is a spiritual war going on, but not between even sides of good and evil. The war that rages is a revolution. The goal is freedom. The price is death. The enemy is God.

Yes. Scripture says that we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with rulers and principalities of the air.

It also says that our weapon are not of this world.

Read Daniel....says that it took time to answer his prayer due to the spiritual warfare. One of the spiritual gifts is the discerning of spirits.
