There are 2 simple rules to be a true Christian:

1. Love and Respect the Supreme Intelligence (GOD)
2. Love and Respect others as you expect others to do unto you.

May Jesus be your guide!

Loving your neighbor is more than the people living next to you. It includes your family as well. If you are married, do you love your wife or husband? If you have children, do you love them?
Christians shouldn't have to "practice" our faith. We should live it in our everyday living. We should wake up in the morning and expect to be able to share God's love with other people. Just by a friendly smile or handshake or even a kind word. Trust me when I tell you that the return is often greater than the investment.

To treat everyone as I wish to be treated is the simple answer. It's an everyday every moment attitude. Being polite and respectful.
Also, you can go out and love your neighbor intentionally by bringing food to needy families. We see this more often this time of year, but it should be all the time. Giving when we see a need should be all year round. It could be doing chores too. Shoveling snow off driveways in your neighborhood, bringing cookies to new neighbors....

Religion has been the cause of so many wars and deaths - if not every war. All for the sake of reading a storybook.

loving your neighbor means loving the people around you, the ultimate message of Christianity is Christ dying on the cross, which built a bridge between God and man, all you have to do now, is admit your sins to God and ask Jesus into your heart, after you are saved, The bible tells us to make believers out of every people in every nation of every corner of the earth , we need to be a light of the world, to make people thirsty for God, to set a good example as Christians, to make people want what we have, so once you are a Christian, you learn the Scripture (the Bible) and do your best to display a positive Image to the rest of the world, if you sin, you pray and God makes them as though they never happened. Pray and talk to God, Put Him First, Read the Bible, and be a positive Image for the people around you, that is how you "be" a Christian.

Treating others the same way I want to be treated. (Luke 6:31)

And when I stumble I ask for forgiveness.

When Jesus was asked the question "and who is my neighbor" He gave the example of the "good Samaritan" which is found in Luke 10:30-37

This is such a poignant story, a good one to remember when pondering how to love our neighbor.

The question was asked in the Bible, "Who is our neighbor?"

Luke 10:29

I think that it will answer your question. The Parable of the Good Samaritan immediately occurs there. The definition of the question is there, from Jesus.

So the neighbor is the one who loves you as himself. You know, the do unto others thing. ( ;

I do things that I would want done to me. I pray, I give, I laugh, I teach, I love. I try not to judge others or be "holier than thou", I try to be patient, understanding, gentle and kind...but sometimes I fail and I have to remember that God is in control, not me!
