I'm assuming this isn't a real question. Church/Mass is different than a wedding. Mass is often something people fit in before going on to their regular day and I bet the parish is just happy to have people attending. A wedding is something special for the people getting married and requires a certain decorum. If I were you, I'd stop "throwing stones" and get on with your life. If you have one.

What is wrong with you? No. IT is a wedding. Would you wear shorts to any other denomination's wedding? The clothes you wear to church are different. Why should the church clothes you wear be any different than what you wear out and about. Church is only a gathering of believers. A Wedding is a celebration of life together. If I were the bride and you came to my wedding in shorts - and it wasn't a casual wedding - you would not be allowed inside of the church.

boy you ain't serious r ya. You put on your only suit and look nice ya hear.
A Catholic wedding will also be a Catholic Mass which is the highest form of Christian worship. As far as other people wearing shorts, the Catholic Church has never changed its protocol on decorum. Don't make yourself the town idiot. Besides they might move you to the back-corner at the reception.
You ain't attempting to be my nemesis r ya boy lol. Lord Jesus you'll need a lot of practise

Yes you can wear a white sari in a Catholic Church. At my church we had some Indian parishoners and they always wore sari's. In Goa there are a lot of Catholics due to Portugese settlers. I have never heard of any restrictions as far as dress at a Catholic church except that you want it to be appropriate as far as not revealing too much skin. But have you seen some of the dresses women wear??? Sari's are a lot more modest! Good luck! Edit one other note, she would not be making the sari white, they actually do make white sari's for special occasions. I have seen gold trimmed ones that are beautiful.

Morally there is absoloutely nothing wrong with wearing shorts, however, this is a societal/cultural issue. It really applies to any formal wedding that if you CAN wear nice clothes then you SHOULD wear nice clothes to such events. There are ofcourse couples who choose a less formal ceremony and as such that dictates a different standard of dress.

To a wedding, not really. If it is in a chuch, you dress in your best. Kakhi pants and a nice shirt for casual. Business suit for semi-formal, and full on tux for formal. Just because some people do not show respect in church by wearing such clothing.

I wouldn't if I were you. It is a wedding, and if everybody else is wearing pants and you not, think of all the strange looks you will get. I'm sure you will be embarrassed before it is all over, and you may upset the wedding party. So, dress nice, and wear some pants.

I don't see the reason to make fun of Catholics. I really doubt this is a serious question.
If they are poor....
I don't recall Jesus making fun of the poor for not dressing as well as the rich. (I do recall him commenting on the behaviour of the rich)
If someone is in church praying then who are you to judge what they are wearing. I don't think there is a commandment about dressing up for church--that would have more to do with impressing thy neighbors.

ask the host or the parents of the host. Usually, shorts are not a good idea unless it's an outdoor wedding and is stated to be casual dress.
