read about existentialism. Its basic premise is that existence precedes essence...meaning that people are inherently nothing, they are born as completely empty vessels.
Besides, if you want to have a decent conversation about "reality", then you are definitely asking the wrong group of people (ie religious people)

All thoughts are energy, and therefore are real, whether or not the ideas behind them are true or false.
Love and other feelings, thoughts, and ideas can transcend time and space because people are connected spiritually by conscience, beyond physical limitations. So we can receive and act upon the same inspirations even if we are separated geographically or chronologically. That is how Mozart's art and Einstein's science can live on after them, through future generations, and also, how the words and legacy of Jefferson and the other founders continue to influence democracy today.
Events perceived in time, whether in the past, present or future, still generate energy as an impression; and since all energy and matter are connected on some level as particles, then these collectively exist as one field, a continuum over all time.
The most fascinating example I can give is the spiritual connection between Buddha and Jesus, who lived 600 years apart. The impression Jesus made as the future Messiah has such an impact that even Buddha envisioned a "Maitreyah Buddha" whom he prophesied would come once and return a second time to bring the final stage of enlightenment or spiritual fulfillment and salvation.

So I believe that ideas, thoughts, or events that have a universal impact can be perceived beyond time and space if the impression is great enough and people are sensitive enough.
I believe at that level, cause and effect almost "co-influence" each other, as the vision of humanity's spiritual development influenced both Buddha's and Jesus' teaching in the past; and their teachings from the past still guide and influence people today. Since those thoughts and inspirations point to universal truths, these may be experienced "linearly" in time, but the whole process is actually holistically designed. We only depict or understand it linearly because of our limited human perceptions that are based on comparing the past, present, and future.
Again, even if we have false perceptions or ideas in our thinking, all those are still part of the learning process, so the whole consciousness is real, although only the universal truths will continue to carry on while anything false or contradictory will not prevail in the longrun.

Time is an invention to measure sequence of events, so it exists as a concept. Memory is real. Memory must exist in order to be conditioned.

Well, if that's true then even your question is conditioned. And my conditioned answer is I don't believe so.
