Over zealous christians or historians that want fame and fortune has caused them to jump the gun and say it is fact. There is several locations that people claim to be the site of Noah's Ark, but nothing iron clad. Not to say that they couldn't be, just that I'm not sure we will ever know or if that is really important anyway. It'd be an amazing and wonderful thing if they could support it but I don't think it matters. There are other archeological sites that are much better for studying as far as the historical aspect of the bible and the archeological evidence to support it.

The satellite image in Turkey has been disproven - it is just a rock formation. Global flood has been disproven - there were regional floods. Fish and seashells fossils on mountains - plate tectonics. Every bit of proof offered is easily disproven.
It is a good story. Perhaps even a story that may have a basis of some guy on a large raft with his family and a few market animals - similar to Gilgamesh - that has been greatly exaggerated over time. But otherwise no evidence at all.

Because that's what people and the media do. Everybody wants something new to excite their senses. If Noah's Ark takes the spot light off Global Warming, I'm all for it.

From what I heard, there is satilite proof of a large, ark-shaped object in Turkey, but the government there would not let anyone investigate it. It is believed that that is Noah's Ark. It has not been disproved yet.

ndmagicma... you are correct they found some wood it went thru major tests, but nothing proving it belonged to the Ark. Thou if any evidence were to be found confirming its existing you undoubtedly would still not believe.
You are happy how things are and to accept that truth would be damaging to your lifestyle, well that's the way you see it right? (instead of it being a chance at life, anyways). God Bless. Open you heart and eyes, wash your feet and hands, start anew, give it a try. Love, and Amen.

Just this week I saw some scientists carrying down from a mountain what they thought was pieces of wood from a huge wooden ship. I don't know if this has been tested yet, or what the results were.

It's easy to jump to conclusions when you see the ark buried in the snow on the Discovery Channel. Just because ppl keep looking in the wrong places doesn't mean it doesn't exist. But if we don't find it soon, it'll be too late. It's already broken in half, and one half is almost halfway down some crevasse.

They research stories like this about as much as they research the bible...
IE: They'll believe whatever someone tells them, if he appears to be an authority.
