Are they just good for ppl who have computer to talk to and chat groups? Can you call a regular phone call on them? Can my friend who doesn`t have a computer call me by her phone in California?? Please answer I need help? I may cancel if I can get some answers. please?

The Yahoo Phones that I believe you are referring to are Wi-Fi handsets that work with your Yahoo Messenger -- and yes, you can use the Yahoo Phone to call people on regular phones - even if they do not have a computer or another Yahoo Phone.
If you are calling a regular phone, you need to sign up for Yahoo PhoneOut -- http://voice.yahoo.com/phone_calls.php. The best part is that the calling rates are the cheapest ones around.
You can also use your Yahoo Phone to call, for free, any other Yahoo Messenger user on their computer.

you just put the wi-fi yahoo phone into the USB port...really easy and lots of fun....you also get a "real" phone-number from yahoo...I have callin in/out!
