hey guys. i was wondering if its safe to become a massage therapist. i've heard so many people say how it can be dangerous [sexual wise]
is that all true?

i only answered this because
a) i was attracted to ur pic
b) I was attracted to ur heart character(love,romance,friendship,etc)
c) I was attracted when u mentioned the Lord (and curious)
d) I was intrigued by ur title
e) i didn't like some of the other answers.
f) I used to work with someone who was a massage therapist.
She was a very attractive woman, indeed and my boss! Lucky me! She did it in her spare time I think. She used to get a lot of unwanted attention, unfortunately. but then i left. no, seriously, she did because of the two things. When u are in a physical touching situation, most of the time, any males will, maybe quite naturally, be drawn towards u.
If u can live with that then fine. It is unlikely that it would result in any threatening situations. It depends where u work from. if u are qualified, it might be better to join a practice.
I am sure they would be delighted to take u on bcos u r very attractive. Attractive girl = money. Isn't that life. u would be a lot safer in this type of environment than from ur own home and certainly going to male clients' homes. i would recommend against this, unless u r taking a colleague.
type in massage therapist to ur yahoo or other search engine to see about careers. there's quite a few there.not sure whether ur here or USA but there are loads of sites for both i think.
i will let u in on a secret. i have looked thru some of ur questions. I am so sorry for ur troubles. I would never have treated u like that. i am drawn to u like a father. u must be careful in life. there are many who would exploit u and misuse or abuse u. DO NOT give too many personal details out on here. don't talk about ur money and be careful of anyone trying to get ur personal details at all, especially on the computer. any such requests, get back to us for advice. there really are some good people on here. at the same time there are some evil ones as well. that is just life i guess.

I think if you become a licensed massage therapist and work in a respectable place (i.e., a day spa), you should have no problem. Speak to other massage therapists in your community to get some advice. I am sure they would be willing to help.
