What's the best method for getting old stains from doggie accidents out of the carpet (vomit, urine, and poop)? I cleaned the area thoroughly and it would look clean for a while and then the spot comes back. I've already shampoo'd the carpet and had it steam cleaned.

Do you have a Chem dry near you that you can have clean you carpet? Chem dry does not steam or use heat. It actually uses a cool water and chemical mix that works great. I lived in an apartment and had the carpet chem dried because even after a good steam and lots of detergents my carpet sill smelled like cat urine and after a new weeks the stains would come back. After chem dry, all was great. http://www.chemdry.com/ Hope this helps

I use Natures Miracle, but I found that it was best to have the carpet cleaned and disinfected professionally to keep the stains from penetrating in the carpet.

I used resolve carpet cleaner from Wal-Mart. Just the regular spray stuff and not the "dual action" It seemed to work great on my white carpet. Good Luck!
