to gain as much wisdom and knowledge as possible then teach what has been learned to others so that mankind may have been benefited and left a little bit better off than when we first came to this plane of existence.

The scriptures (and all of creation, for that matter) seems to point that we were born into this world to experience what is would be like not to have eternal life, not to be loved of our true Heavenly Father. We are here to experience the opposite of what is reality.
What is physical is temporal, what is spiritual is permanent. We all are spiritual, and shall go on past this world, but we all get to experience the physical just as an educational experience to let us know the opposite of what we all have that cannot be taken from us.
So enjoy the ride of this life, it is here made especially for us to learn and be thrilled. There is no dragon.

The purpose of each person is unique to their own being and in conjuction with the grace gifted to them by God. Serving the God, necessitate doing what is best with what you have, in the service of your family, community, and all of humanity, and ultimately all of creation. When the book of life has a chapter on you, will it be a memorable one?

To live consciously of everyday. It's so easy to get distracted with surviving a particular day. Oprah said once that she met a man who was on his death bed. As he was passing away he smiled and (presumably referring to the meaning of life in it's purest observation) he said: "Love... All these years and it's so easy to see now... It's only about love". It makes me tear up just thinking about it, b/c you almost have to be in that position to know it and then it's SOOO late.

Did you know that you're approximately the 2900th person to ask that in the Society and Culture category on Yahoo Answers? There are probably more, but I didn't put all of your search terms in that box that says "Search for Questions"... Here's a link:

Why does everyhting have to have a purpose? Our purpose is to pass on our genes to our children and give them every opportunity to grow strong and do the same to their children. Make your mark on as many people as you can so that you may be remembered when you are gone. Their is no ultimate purpose.....

Spiritual analysis: To love. Nothing more.
Physical analysis: To reproduce until we alter the chemical makeup of the planet until it changes, or until our species is extinct. What it will change into I have no idea. The earth is in a constant state of change.

I was born for no reason. I was created out of nothing by nobody and will return to being nothing. The Bible says so. "Dust unto dust." Dust is Old Testament parlance meaning "nothing."
Those of you who think you are something, I pee in your general direction.
