I love hottopic and im hiding myself being emo/gothic w/e i only have a few outfits 4 dat categorey and i want to break out of my shell and MAKE them except me for who i am for it is their faults i have so much misery and pain in my life anyway. How can I do this?

Making people except you is possibly the most impossible task. You can't MAKE them except you...you can only be yourself and say, "Yo, look, this is me! This is who I am! This is all I am! I can't change my DNA, so you're just going to have to take it or leave it." They might not except you right away, but chances are high that they'll except you later. It will take time, but it's worth it a few years down the road.

It sounds like they already except you. If you want them to accept you then you have to meet them half way on things and you have to start to communicate. You have to be mature. You have to earn it.
Oh, and it's your decision to be gothic. That isn't their fault.
And who are you anyway? Are you doing all you can to succeed or are you just skating through life. Or are you one of those doom and gloom, life isn't worth it goths? Do you really expect them to accept you if you aren't living up to your potential? Why would they?

You know I feel very depressed and I lost most of the people around me because of the same attitude. My feelings are not the fault of these people. I am resposible for my actions and feelings. I suggest you go seek the help of a therapist like i am doing. And i beg of you dont wait till all your familly friends are gone. You are very lucky that you still have people around you.

If they love you they will accept you. They may not agree to the way you are, but as a parent they will always love you. You may want to talk to them about all "the pain in my life" that you say is a problem. That may be the reason you have become this way afterall. It may help your relationship.

Your family is excepting you, as this word means to shun. I know what you mean but couldn't help myself.
Tell your parents that you are ready to make some changes in your life and want their support, I am sure they will be thrilled.

In my humble opinion, but from someone who sympathizes, I think that you are asking the wrong question. A question to ponder instead..."How can I accept my family and their decision to accept me/not accept me?"
Unfortunately, you have no control over how family members will accept you, understand you, treat you. You can not force them to change their behavior and/or actions. Similar to how you don't want them to change your behavior and/or actions.
You have control over your behavior and/or actions. You decide that you will be goth and respect the person you are. You choose to remain confident in yourself and that decision. You choose that you need your family's support-or you wouldn't be prompted to ask the question.

You need to accept yourself before others will. Be who you are, you shouldn't have to hide who you are. Your family loves you.. not the clothes you wear or the way you look. If they all were blind..they wouldn't even know you changed. Be yourself.

Make sure you are accepting yourself first!! Also, make sure this is what you want, not just what friends or peers want. If you are miserable try talking to someone you can trust about it, or even a counselor.
