atheist, humans have caused more harm to this world than any other living creature.

However, I subscribe to existentialist beliefs that say people are born empty vessels, they are not inherently good, or evil, or anything, they are simply a product of their environment and the things they are taught

Atheist.

Humans are good and bad - it's a fact of nature. If you had a general population, and graphed the amount of altruistic deeds versus "bad" deeds, you'd end up with a normal distribution. It's just simple mathematics - we do bad and good stuff all the time. One person goes into a blood clinic to go dontate blood in America, one person will rob a bank. One person helps their neighbour move, the other beheads someone in Iraq. On average, it all works out.

I of course am an optimist and am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. If more people took up secular humanism, the world would be a much better place.

I'm a Roman Catholic...my view on humans is based on observation...we are put here to learn and to gain knowledge...we should serve God and try our best not to sin...my opinion on humans is because we have knowldge we think that we are undefeatable, we can do whatever without having any consequences because it is jsutified...we are ****** up people...sorry to say, some are good but most are bad.it is much easier to not care, to not give a **** then t actualy extend a hand and help. we have forgotten about God, we are selfish...i'm not a pessimistic i'm just honest. we can outdo and outgrow ourselves, our selfishness but the question is do we want to? we are the lowest of the bunch hun...but save yourself, thank God that we are not judged by the acts of hte majority but by our individual acts. the only thing is make those acts worthwhile, in other words make htem selfless cause thhat will be your salvation.

there is an old Cherokee Legend that says each mortal is born with two wolves in them. there is one that represents good -- the other evil -- the one that wins the most is the one which is fed the most. I am a Christian with a firm belief in Native American Spirituality

Humans disgust me. Really and truly. We are lying, filthy creatures. Seeing as I am one though, I do try to love, and tolerate my brethren. My religious beliefs say nothing about weather or not humans are filthy - because they are and there is no denying it - but they do say that I should love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me, and that is what I do. Overall, I think that humans are good, I just think that people make mistakes and get confused. Bad crap that happens - Karma, if you will - is deserved.

When God discovered that humans masturbate he was sick to his stomach and then got really angry. That was way back in Genesis, and then God thought he had found a friend in Moses, someone he could count on, only to find out later that Moses was a homosexual. Down through history God found one perversion after another among the human race.
And now in our day and time, God is nowhere to be found. That last thing he said was "You're on your own, perverts."

good and bad are relative terms and are transitory. Relgions/cultures programme our mind on good and evil

There is nothing absolutely good or evil in universe

Every human being is progressing towards truth, and doing his best as per his capabilities, mind-evolution and environments

Humans are a creation of God, we love, think, speak, are intelligent and were made in his image.

Are we good? Bad? We are born sinners. Now that our eyes were opened we need Jesus you need to pray and repent. Accept Jesus in your life, be Christ like and you will indeed spend eternity with him.

I think that humans are bad. Like, inanely bad, it is in our genes to survive, and thus you must kill to survive.

We eat animals, and in times of severe crisis, we eat each other.

If a man came down the street with a knife and said he was going to kill you, would you not kill him first, so that you could survive?

You would.

Reguardless of the consequences, because your children are at home and they need you, and you would kill to survive, just like all other humans.

It is in our genes to survive and thus we are bad by Nature.

We are all born neutral, blank slate. The choices we make lead us down the right path or the wrong path.

Jews do not believe in original sin.
