I have been seeing adds on TV about different Clear Credit agencies that can help clear bad credit. Does this really work? Do they help with student loans too? Has anyone had any experiences with the clear credit agencies?

They can't delete your bad credit. All these companies do is work with the agencies to get them some money back from you.

They for the most part are a scam of something you can do yourself.

Get a copy of your credit report (free)
they charge

If anything listed is wrong dispute it with the credit company(free).
They dispute everything and hope the company won't respone within the time limit

They cannot help with student loans (Feds)

Other than that pay your bills and time are the only helps

Dont do it.

You will have to pay a fee for their service. And they dont clean your credit report, all they do is set up a monthly payment for all of your debts and charge you monthly. They call the bureaus and state you will pay what you owe, because you are willing to work with them. And this raises your score a few points. Yet these companies are waste of your money, because you pay them to pay your bills.

You can do this on your own.

Get a free credit report from all three:
http://www.truecredit.com from Trans Union.
http://www.experian.com
http://www.equifax.com

Go order your report, call the companies you owe money too, if its close to 7 years, wait till they send you information. At 6.5 years they will try to sue you to get the money back.

Pay more than minimums: A list of priorities.
Courts <-- if you owe money to the court pay all of it first
Medical <--medical bills drop your credit
Car Loans<-- banks loans block your ability for a good score.
Credit cards & student loans.

On student loans, dont pay minimum, you will never get out that way. Pay as much as you can.
