It depends on the shape your face.
I have an amazing beauty book.
round- long staright, choppy layers. If you decide to go short sides cut onto face rather than cropped sides
Heart- wider at the bottombangs sweep over the side of the face
Long (kind of rectangular) layered, shorter
oval- you can pull almost anything off
coloring has all to do with your hair if it's pretty to start don't change it/
if your hair is thin go with layers or curls.
If your hair is thick. You're lucky.
I personally have a shoulder length layered cut with wispy bangs, on an oval face. My hair is a natural brown and I leave it at that, and I have thick straight hair.
