My daughter is 18 months old. Last night she blew chunks all over me. She had no fever, and was not acting sick in the least. During her post vomiting bath, she had a fun time. Basically all behavior was normal, other than the puking. She didn't even seem phased by the fact that she vomitted. Any ideas why a healthy kid would just up chuck?

Any little thing can cause a kid blow chunks.
The other night, my 18 month old just drank too much too fast, and she puked all over. Another time she was dancing and jumping and that was enough to upset her stomach.
It's nothing to worry about if she's not otherwise sick or running a fever. It'll happen every now and again. If she starts doing it often, you might want to talk to her doctor, just to be on the safe side.

She may have played too much after eating and it gave her an upset tummy. It could be that she ate too much as well. My 8 year old does this in the morning sometimes due to indigestion. It could be that too, or if she ate greasy foods, that would do it as well. I am sure that she is fine and that there is nothing to worry about, but do keep an eye on it if it persists.
And to you flat_cake_pancakes who are you to say that she is not a good mother (read that through the lines), you must get a manual on good manners before you start talking crap about someone else's mothering skills. It is very normal for a mother to be worried, especially if it their 1st and only child. You get less worried the more children that you have. So I suggest that you need to take back what you said and not to be so abusive to others, it really makes no sense to be so mean.

Sounds like she might have a touch of stomach flu, or maybe she ate a little something that didn't agree w/ her. Just keep an eye on her the next few days to make sure she's not throwing up anymore. If she's fine, then there's really nothing to be worried about.
My 19 month old did the same thing the other night & she's been fine ever since.

Dont listen to that last comment! Your a mother and it is perfectly normal to be worried about your child. I worried though because she has no fever and seems perfectly well, it could be something she ate or that she simply ate too much; or maybe after she ate she was very active and it upset her stomach? If she pukes again then i would call her doctor or take her in to get checked anyway just to be safe but i think your baby is perfectly fine. good luck

I would take her to the doctor and find out what is going on with her Little body. If she isn't trowing up because of to much food or if she couldn't hold it down You best bet is a doctor would could help and not people who have children and think they know.

My child did this . She would vomit and then maybe a while later do it again. maybe go a day and vomit again. Took her to the Dr. she had Acid Reflux they had to give her medicine for it. She had to take the med. for 30days and now she is fine.

I don't know if this will help, but my 8 month old pukes if he gets something stuck in his throat (like the little bits of paper he loves to eat *sigh*)

sometimes that happens. My daughter sis it this morning, she is 4 and is now mad at me because I would not let her go to school. But she is fine, no fever or anything. Just kid sick stuff.

It could be some kind of food intolerance. Watch closely what she eats the next week or so and see if she does it again. If you can remember what you gave her before she threw up, try that again and see if it happens again. If so, illiminate the food and talke to her pediatrician.

a healthy kid does throw up at times. dont feel bad for being worried or not feeling you know what you are doing..all mothers feel this way from time to time...kids do do this for different reason..food not agreening with them, virus, or even maybe just running might be enough to jumble up food in their little tummies.
