Just downloaded IE7 and it really feels like the Netscape Navigator I used to use 2 years ago. Isn't it just a late rip-off?

It's been much longer than 2 years since I used Netscape Navigator. I guess I can see the similiarities, but Navigator is fairly old technology, and it does not neitherly enough feature for today's web browsing. As for Microsoft ripping people off, well, that's the microsoft way. IE 1.0 was a rip-off of Netscape. Windows 95 was a rip-off of Mac OS. In software industry, Microsoft is not known for technology innovation, but it is the baddest and knows how to push people around to drive their profit.s

As for all the Firefox lovers out there, I still prefer my opera browser. :-p

Actually IE was made to compete with the boom of browsers such as Firefox which had better security and not as many bugs as IE 6 did. Microsoft wanted to compete in the "browser wars". Yes, it is a lot like Netscape, but it s more like Firefox.

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customizable to suit your need and no problems.

Hi, I can see where your coming from, but I think it is more to do with the style that Microsoft have taken for Vista. I managed to get a pre-release copy from Microsoft and all the new programmes are taking on this type of appearance.

I just wish everyone would switch to Mozilla products. Firefox is great, and outlook doesn't even compare to Thunderbird.
