This depends if you want to know which is the biggest file type or which has the most compression. Mpeg 4/Divx files ripped from DVD is probably the best value a small sized file and quality, it all depends on what you need

probably .divx. as it can have subtitles and menus, like a dvd but in a single file ... it has as well a very good compression rate, making it small in size comparing to mpeg2 or avi

So far, 3PO is the best of MP4 compression. It is used in 3G phone.
