Instant salvation is not a Bible teaching. The Bible says, "He who endures to the end is the one who will be saved."

If you really want to know about the Bible, get commentaries.
It's not that difficult to understand. ( ;
As far as ' Instant Salvation' yes. It happenes at the time of confession. I don't mean that in a Roman Catholic way, but in the beginning of the relationship of a believer and God. The connection is made.
Now this part is important to the understanding of the Parable of the Sower:
What you do with the relationship is important.
Paul wrote; "Be not like that profane person Esau, " What did Esau do? He treated the relationship, his birthright; cheaply. He gave it to his brother.
A Christian can do the same thing. They grieve the Spirit of God with the uncareful, valueless, undevoted acts of disobedience. NOt that we have to appear perfect to others, but that we realize the rarity of our being chosen.
"For many are called, but few are chosen."
The ones that fell on rocky ground, they are those that did not take their salvation to heart. They in essence thought that the thing was done and now they can continue looking at life their way, instead of looking to Him for guidance, lessons, and love. Yes, love.
I hope that clears things up for you.

Jesus explains his parable of the sower later on in Matthew Ch. 13 v. 18-23. I don't read anywhere in it about "instant salvation". In those verses, He is explaining it to His disciples. For me, it was easy to understand.

Instant salvation is just a creation of the religion for the invitation to join their faith. The idea of putting all the teachings you hear to a better place in your heart to nurture and apply it to your daily lives is more acceptable than by just merely knowing God. Out of wisdom you gain, you also need to understand what you have learned. From understanding you can only can work your way to the path of righteousness better than blindly following an oftentimes false teachings.

Instant salvation, in the negative aspect is like unto an allowance to sin all you want, as long as you profess belief in Jesus. This is contrary to the scripture. In the positive aspect it reinforces faith in the power of the "sacrament" of confession of the born again and evangelical Christian churches.
We remember, however, that when Jesus spoke of the banquet in heaven that He said those without garments will be thrown out. Garment are the good deeds of a saint, a saint being one who is in Heaven.

What exactly are you asking? To recieve salvation all one needs to do is give his life to Christ, repent from his sins, and trust in Christ as his/her Lord and saviour. You need to live a life that reflects Christ and seek and save the lost. the parable of the sower speeks of those who fall away from God and those who stand firmly in Him. Only those who are planted in good soil (The Word of God) will not be wavered by the evil of the world. God bless you my friend!

The parable is not just pertaining to salvation, but our everyday walk. Remember the words that say do unto others as you would want done to yourself. Our lives are based on what we sow, good or bad.

It talks about when you go out to witness to others, and also when you become a believer.
Not having the Bible in front of me, I can just summarize. It talks about how things of this world can affect your walk with God. You are still saved, but your walk is threatened.
For example, if the seed is sown on rocky soil, that means that your faith is not firmly planted, and can be damaged by any happening, such as a death in the family, loss of a job, etc., and when this happens, you give up. Your faith can be "blown away".
Planted among the weeds, means that satan or your own evil desires could come and choke you, if you aren't firmly planted in your faith.
But when your faith is planted in deep, fertile soil, that means that you are digging down, standing firm, and relying on God. The benefit of that is when hard times come, your roots will be deep in your faith, and you will continue to grow and become stronger.
Hope this helps a little.

That's a good question. Apparently, if the spiritual "soil" isn't prepared, or if the "weeds" aren't kept away, salvation won't happen.
