I don't know if such a religion has a particular name but I can tell you which one is the most intolerant.
It is the religion that teaches people to hate or speak unkindly to others because of what they believe.
It is the religion that teaches its adherents to make others feel as if they are not intelligent
It is the religion that mocks the beliefs of others
It is the religion that does not have an uplifting influence.
It is the religion that offers no hope for the future
It is the religion that tries to ignore the past
It is the religion that does not exalt right principles
It is the religion that does not have moral excellence as its goal
It is the religion that points the finger at other religions calling them by name when you ask the question - "which is the most intolerant religion of the major religions of the world"
It is the religion founded upon the shaky foundation of human opinion
It is the religion that does not require commitment from those who accept it
It is the religion of the convenient
It is the religion of the majority and emphasizes the number of its adherents
It is the religion requiring no self-sacrifice and no self-control
It is the religion that does not require a change in the character or conduct of its adherents.
It is the religion that does not elevate humanity.
It is the religion of selfishness

Of all the worlds religions, Christianity is unique because it preaches salvation by grace and faith, not works. This means that although Hindus, Muslims, and Buddhists (not an exhaustive list) would all basically agree with the statement If you are good, good things await you in the next life, Christianity alone says being good is not enough, there is only one way to God, and it is through belief in his only son Jesus Christ. This makes Christianity inherently less quote tolerant unquote because a true Christian does not believe good things await those who lead merely good lives on this Earth. Christianitys saving grace, no pun intended, is the belief in free will. Each must decide for themselves whether to accept or reject Christ.
If you look at practical intolerance, the clear winner is Islam. Christian societies are as a general rule open, and have a much larger role for free speech and the place of women. Social constraints of course, but nothing on the scale of sharia law or the Taliban. Christians will be upset they will threaten to boycott your products if you mock them, they will not pronounce a fatwah against you and call for your execution because you publish some cartoons they dont like, or a book.

Most all religions have some intolerant followers.
But there's only one in which the great majority of its followers believe that its holy book teaches them to kill those who are not of their own faith.

i don't think that religion is to blame of intolerance ....its people who practice them.
there was a time when Muslims were the most tolerant of other religions (almost a thousand years ago )
now they their fanatics are blowing themselves killing anyone in their way !!!
and if you really believe that their is a religion that says hate others or hurt others ...then trust you me when i say it is not a problem with the religion, it is a problem with the whole human species...for i believe that the human nature is more peaceful than that...yet it gets lost seeking power or lusting after greed.

it depends on what you mean by "intolerant"
there always are things that are not "tolerated" on religions...but most of them have "good" explanations...so if that is your religion, you believe and agree with what is said...you wouldn't think of them as intolerants...you'll say that's just the way it is.
Now...if you mean intolerant by being tough with the consequences of breaking a "rule"...then maybe the kind of religion that prosecutes their people to death.
But actually, I dont know which one it is.

Fundamentalist Christianity & Islam.
The evangelists openly preach that only those who accept Jesus can be "saved"
I personally think Jesus would slap the snot out them for what they say & do in his name.
Islam goes one better & preaches that infidels should be eliminated if the literal word of the Quoran is to be followed.
Muslims w/ brains seek a different interpretation for Jihad as
a conflict within themselves which must be resolved,
Let's go with that one.

I believe Islam is currently the least tolerant. It compares with Christianity some 400 years ago! - Perhaps these North African/Middle Eastern belief systems mellow with age !

Coming down the stretch, it's head to head. Christianity and Islam. Islam and Christianity. At the wire, it's Christianity...the winner by a nose.
