Keratosis Pilaris is a common skin problem that commonly occurs on the cheeks, thighs and arms. It is a form of eczema and is completely benign. There are a few topical creams for this condition the newest one is called Umecta 40% cream, it is really doing a good job for this condition, another is called Lac hydrin cream, whichever you may get from your Doc. you will have to use it for quite a while, it's hard to make 100% clear but most (not all) kids grow out of it in their 20's

This is actually a common skin condition(I can't remember the name),not just dry skin.It is hereditary but harmless. There is a product that a dermatologist can give you to minimize it,though it is not usually covered by insurance, since it's not a "medical condition".This stuff works great,my daughter and I have both used it.
I just remembered the name it's called Keratosis Pilaris.Hope it helps!

I get that in the winter sometimes in the summer, too. I bought one of those bath gloves, it needs to be a pretty rough one, and some exfoliating scrub from Ulta, with the beads in it. It comes in a jar. Then, just scrubbed away and my arms were smooth. You will have to do it every couple of days though.

When you shower, use those puff things, not a wash cloth. Immediately after you shower, put on lotion. Neutragena has a good lotion for bumpy skin. It will take a couple of weeks, but they'll heal up.
