Yes there is. NYC City has one in every Borough and a Special Victims Div at One Police Plaza. They even have a Sex Offender Monitoring Unit. Also a Sex Crimes Report Line @ 212 267-RAPE

Yes. I don't know if the name is exactly the same but there is a real sex crimes unit.

Yes! This unit is named differently in different jurisdictions. Many are referred to as sex crimes units.

Yes most departments now have a unit that deals with sex crimes. They go by different names like "rape-homicide", and just sex crimes unit.

yes there really is. if you were raped by anybody then that's who you want to report the crime to.
