Grilled Mahi Mahi with Vegetable Slaw
INGREDIENTS:
6 (6 oz.) mahi mahi fish fillets, 1/2" thick
3 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp. honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
2 cups shredded coleslaw mix
1 cup shredded cucumber
PREPARATION:
Rinse fish and pat dry with paper towels. For dressing, in a small bowl combine cilantro, lemon peel and juice, oil, honey, garlic, and salt. Mix well. Pour half of dressing over cabbage and cucumber in medium bowl and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Place fish fillets into glass baking pan and pour remaining dressing over; turn fish to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Lightly grease indoor electric grill and preheat. Drain fish, discarding marinade. Place fish on the grill rack, tucking under any thin edges. If using a covered grill, close lid.
Grill until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, about 2 to 3 minutes per 1/2-inch thickness of fish on a two sided grill. On uncovered grill, cook for 4 to 6 minutes per 1/2-inch thickness of fish, turning once halfway through grilling. Serve the fish with coleslaw mixture. 6 servings.

I don't like our Foreman grill all that much but that's prob. because I have a grill by Cuisinart that is soooo much better. The Foreman is tricky with fish but some of these answers should work.

You get it to cook fish the same way you get it to cook anything. Place the fish on the grill and close the lid. (Thank you jjay!!!) it should take 5-10 muntes depending on the fish. I used to have one of these. Does it even have a a heat setting ?? I can't remember at all. I thought you just plugged it in, and when the light goes off, it's ready. If I'm wrong, read the manual that came with it to see what to set it on for fish. In the oven I set mine at 350 to cook fish, on the stove I set it on medium.

It's very easy... just season them the way you want nd put them on the grill... depending on how thick the piece of fish is it will only need to cook for a few minutes... don't forget to put the tray at the bottom of the grill or you will have fish juice all over. Good luck and Good Eats

Don't.
I've tried and it never turns out well.
The grill doesn't get hot enough to properly sear the fish, by the time it's cooked through, it's already overdone and dry.
Sorry.

Wrap the fish in foil after lining the foil with butter or oil and toast! Keep checking it though and put some seasoning or fresh herbs and rings of onion!
