Just wondering about how your relationship is with the friends of the person you're with. Do you get along well with their friends, not at all, or in between? Also, how important do you think it is to have a good relationship with their friends...or should you not even bother trying, and just let them have their own friends, and you have your own?

The best thing to do is to be friendly and respectful, but keep your distance and let your partner have those relationships to themselves. My wife's friends are good people, but not my type at all.

His school mates liked me, but he really didn't seem to have close friends. It was not as good with the relatives as I was not what they would have picked for him and they could see it was going too fast.

If the friends do not like someone, that is sometimes a thing to pay attention to, I think. You should be polite, if nothing else, to the friends, even if they are not nice to you.

I think my relationship with mu husband friends are ok. Because it's also important for me to know who and what kind his friend is. I want to know what they been doing when I don't still knew him. And as far as I can see his good coz of the way his friends describe him to me. But there was his girl bestfriend that I tried to be nice with but still she said he didn't want me to her bestfriend. Actually she became my friend first before I met her bestfriend/my husband now. At first she was teasing us she's jealous. But later, she wasn't talking to me anymore. I know she likes my boyfriend(my husband) but he don't like him. She was so aloof. But I ignore that. Everytime I see her I felt uneasy, I don't know if I should greet her, but I always do. Then months passed before I text her telling her I missed my old friend. And then I receive an email from her telling me thing I didn't expect! She said his bestfriend was not for me and soon he'll leave me for someone who's prettier than me. I cried coz all she said isn't true. Then she said to my boyfriend she was not the one who wrote that, its her friend. But why did she allow that if she don't wanna tell that to me. And she ask sorry. Now we still see each other, in party etc. But is wasn't like the old time. She's also a big part of our wedding. But we will not be like the old times. And sorry to her, his bestfriend love s me so much and will not be hers.

I don't mind my boyfriends friends at all. I think that he has an overall good choice in who he surrounds himself with. He is really good about hanging out with my friends too.
I think it's important to try and be friends with your other halfs friends. It shows you value them.

Other than one of his moronic friends, we get along great. Actually better with his family than with his friends...
