She will calm down as she ages. Let her be an animal and give her plenty of exercise and play time. She will calm in her own time. It will help though if you tire her out regularly. No need for puppies.

Oh, and get her spayed.

It's an old belief that allowing a b**ch to have puppies will calm her down. NOT TRUE. Spaying will help calm your female down. So will more excercise and long walks. Is it possible you've just gotten a dog that you can't handle and keep up with the energy level?

Please spay, it will make a difference, has tons of health benefits and there are way too many unwanted dogs put down every day due to people thinking that it's needed to allow a pregnancy.

No, it will not. This fallacy that has been going around for the last 100 years that dogs will calm down if they are neutered or spayed or have puppies is absolute crap. If you have a high strung dog because of the breed, or bad genetics or bad nerves, you will always have a high strung dog.

No. It can make them more nervous. That is NEVER a good way to calm a dog. Give more exercise, and training. Then SPAY. That will help calm her down!!

I wouldn't bring extra dogs in the world just trying to calm your dog down. There's enough unwanted animals in this world that are not being taken care of. Your dog will settle down as she gets older.

NO. but SPAYING might. unless she's show quality, breeding her would not only cause undo stress to her and possibly add to her agitation, you would also be adding to the overpopulation of unwanted pets in the shelters. even if you didn't take her pups to the shelter, someone who takes 1 might.
you don't say what kind of dog she is. or her age. some dogs just need more walking. and some get doggy backpacks to help tire them.

Unless you are a breeder you need to have her spayed because of the huge amounts of unwanted pets that already share the planet--And in having the surgery she will calm down too--I take it she is young---and I really think you need to give her time --give her lots of attention and exercise --remember pups are full of energy its up to you to help her spend it

No. It will probably make her more neurotic. Female dogs can have some big hormonal swings that affect their behavior and for a dog with problematic behaviors, this will just make those behaviors worse.
As noted before, your dog will calm down as she ages.

Yes but get her spay after. Keep the puppy or puppys you want find the rest G O O D homes then get her spay. You can expect her to be protective when the pups are young but overall they have a calming effect on the mother and getting her spay will calm her even more.
