No; in fact, I'm a lot more likely to answer, as statistically speaking I'm probably one of the more intelligent people viewing the question. I say that because I'm in Mensa, and qualified to get in with a 99th percentile ranking on the test, so I'm not being arrogant or just pulling probabilities out of the air here ;-) That doesn't mean I'll know the answer of course, but at least if I do, it's going to be a reasonably intelligent response!

Oh my goodness. Thank you for asking this question. I enjoy reading the questions on here, but it is getting more unbearable the way people type. I know a lot has to do with age and just the way society is with "u" "r" being accepted as grammar...but it is killing me!! You will look so much more intelligent if you spell your words out and then spell check them!!

Who knows. Depends on which ones you're referring to:
Perhaps they apparantly dont give a hoot.
OR arent from this country. OR they may think it's 'kool' to use some of the typing that used today. In any case, when it bothers you, simply move beyond those questions/Answers. That's what I prefer to do. It's certainly not worth getting upset over.

they think that it is cute if they purposely mis-spell words...it does get annoying trying to read long questions when not written correctly - alot of times i start to answer but get so annoyed trying to figure the question out - i just move on to one i can read without getting a headache....and i am not a perfect speller - dont use spell check - but i put a little effort into making it understandable...

Too dumb to know they have misspelled words and too ignorant and/or arrogant to care! Some on this site are not native English speakers and should be forgiven their errors, but you can usually tell the difference. Sometimes, I think the asker must be drunk. How else could somwone ask such totally nonsensical questions?

This is a question that will plague us all for years to come. I am not sure that there is a right answer. My guess is that people are to lazy to use it!

they don't use spell check because it takes more time then they want to use or they can say something easier by using an acronym.
