GOD created a servant named lucifer who wanted to become as the Creator. He caused a ruckus in heaven and was thrown down/out to earth. His fallen name is now satan. satan's has spiritual helpers called devils or demoniums.satan is the head devil with many recruits. I could tell you where they originated from such as many angels/exservants of GOD were sent hades/earth with him. yet that does not explain all the legions and spirits floating and possessing. There is a deeper truth most cannot understand where these things are concerned.

Good question. God created the whole world He would certainly not create it as hell. What He created was called Ramraj, Heaven,Paradise,Garden of Eden, Bashist,Swarag,the Golden Age.A place of health,wealth and happiness constantly. Where there was no sign of sorrow and we lived in total bliss for a long time. Then what we had earned from God as a reward ran out.We used up our inheritence and lost our purity.We fell from being divine being and became human beings with lust,anger,greed.And with time,heaven changed to hell and that is called Ravan (Devil) raaj. Kalyug or the Iron Age.We are the "Devil".We have created the world as it is.

The Lord Jesus Christ created all things. Ephesians 3: 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: When He created the Devil he was perfect but pride was found in him. Ezekiel 28: 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

god create the whole world and made human beings with two choices to add 're' before create to re-create the world or add 'd' before it to D-create the whole world.
so creating world and create devil is in our hands

God created this world, but this world is full of dualities. However they are relative. There is good and there is bad. But what is good for you might be bad for me.
So everything that we see should be understood by putting god in the center or the pivot.
Just like shadow exist, because there is Sun. Similarly evil exist because there is god. So, in short turning against the laws or desires of GOD is evil and the person who does this is devil.
God's laws are mentioned in the scriptures..

God did but Satan made his own mind up to turn and become what he is. Just like everyone makes their own choices to do and to become who they are.
