Do you think it's fair for Mar's bar to completely remove all the peanuts out of their chocolate bars just because alot of people are allergic to them? Why can't they have a bar with nuts and one without? Now I have to switch to Oh,Henry or More's or both. It's good their looking out for the peoples allergies because it can be fatal. But I need my nuts and Mar's has ( had ) that perfect combination. Milk chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and that other filling. What is that anyway? Another Mar's bar loyalist falls.

It's nougat. It sounds like you're talking about a Snickers bar. I believe the Mars bar has almonds, not peanuts.

um, Mar's Bars never had peanuts in them. They had almonds and I should know those were one of the very few candy bars that I would eat cause I hate peanuts.

But I do agree, if some company gets the wild idea to remove nuts all together from their product just because some people are allergic thats wrong.
They should build a new manufacturing plant or line in one of the factories that can produce the nut-less product without the possibility of it coming into contact with the peanut products.

Mars doesn't have nuts. It never has. When Mars were made, they were in contact with machines that made other bars with peanuts. Most people with allergies could not eat Mars because of the possibility of having a reaction. Mars now makes their bars with no possibility of the bars having contact with anything peanut related.

I can understand the whole allergy thing, The Mars company would need to have a whole different factory to make the ones with peanuts. In order to make the peanut bars they would have to sterilize everything and have the employees change their clothes and shoes. It would not be cost efficient. Have you tried the ones with almonds I find them to be totally exquisite. Oh yeah and the other thing in the bar would be the nougat. I hope that I have helped you out a little bit.

Mars bars have almonds and are very good. Snickers is made my M&M Mars and have peanuts. If someone doesn't want the nuts, that's what a Milky Way is for.

You must be spaking of Mars, Inc. the company rather than the candy bar itself.

My best guess would be because they use the same equipment for with peanut, and without peanut, candy bars. As long as there is a chance of peanut oil being in the candy bar, there is a possibility of contamination.

Ultimately, I think it has more to do with avoiding lawsuits than with consumer safety.

Mars never had nuts... But here is some of my thoughts on the subject.
If someone is allergic to nuts then they should know not to buy the candy bar. What would happen to "Pay Day" if they took out the nuts in their bar?
Come on people are we that stupid in America they we have to have nuts removed from our candy bar?
They are trying too hard to be politically correct.
