of hearing African American, Mexican American, Chinese American, you're either American or you are not. I'm also tired of Hispanic Heratige or African American Heratige month, they all complain "We learn about the white men all year long so why can't we have a month for us", simple, because you are in America and "your" month is part of all American History, also it was the "Whites" you hate that built this Nation to what it is now, if you don't like it move to Africa or Mexico and follow that Heratige, bet you won't last long before you come crawling back.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, except for the fact that the complainer's won't move to Africa, or Mexico, etc. They already know the best life they can have is in America. You dont have to be a genius to figure that out!
Blacks already have a history month, February. Thank goodness it's the shortest month of the year, and during that month, President's Washington, and Lincoln's birthdays are celebrated.
I will not tolerate a Mexican month, for they have nothing substantial to celebrate. The Irish have Saint Patrick's Day, March 17th, the mexican's have Cinco de Mayo, May 5th(although I don't get why they celebrate it, since they aren't free from their own corrupt government). I can only believe it's because it gives them an excuse to act like drunken fools, and be unruly. And, what about their independance day, celebrated September 16th? Not so many celebrate that, especially not in America. Hmmmm, I wonder why? Is it because they are NOT free, and that's why they run to America? From the looks of things, I'd say DEFINATELY, YES!

I COMPLETELY agree! I think our country is WAY to lax on the rights for our own Americans now! Why should African Americans, Mexican Americans and every other "something else" American have MORE rights than Americans? Try to be a middle class white kid and get student grants for college...near impossible! BUT there are TONS for others. Same with public assistance, finacial assistance. It's disgusting that we are Americans with tax paying familes (for generations) and can't get a simple student grant because we are "white". Makes no sense! Same with the special months to celebrate things, why? We have indepence day, for OUR country, celebrate then with the rest of us or get out!

Hey Mike R, go figure, you don't take emails. I don't blame my shity life on immigrants. I blame the disgusting over crowding in OUR schools, the high cost of healthcare, my car being broken intoby mexicans, my cousin being raped by a disgusting mexican, that over 87% of the prison population is not "white american" , that over 70% of the teen pregnancies in America come from "African Americans" and then (go figure) teen african americans have the highest abortion rates and I could go on, but I won't. I have a great life working for the state, a wonderful man, great daughter and everything I could dream of. It's DIGUSTING to think of what you people are doing to the country my kids will have to be raised in. We are BETTER than you because we did our work! Our great great grandparents fought the wars for our lives. You're family is too ignorant to do what our families have done. No wonder you all want to be here, and you call us lazy? Check into your state healthcare....over half of the reciepients are ILLEGAL!!! So my taxes pay for your sluts to have kids and abortions. Nice! Go to hell (or where ever you came from, since it's all the same)

I am not a hyphenated American, nor were my ancestors
They came here in 1702 before there was a USA but became full fledged Americans. They never said or refered to themselves as German-Americans,they were Americans and very proud of that fact.

I have a wonderful rich life ,and I can only credit myself for that not any illegal aliens. It seems the racists in this answer forum made his self known with his insults towards legal Americans.I know who is running this nation and it isn't the illegal alien or his lobby .This nation is run by legal voters and that's the real truth, not what you would like it to be.

I agree with all youve posted, except that I will say people should not ignore their heritage. But there are too many people out there choosing their heritage over their nationality, and that divides people. So I would like to see a happy medium.

I am. If you were born in one country and then moved to America, I might understand. but people label all blacks as African American. Most of those blacks have never stepped foot on Africa. I dont really mind all the history months. It just shifts focus on different aspects of culture.

We´re the only country in the world that hyphenates the word "American" and I´m tired of it too. If you go to England and meet someone whose dad is French and mom is English, you´ll never hear them say "I´m French-English", they´ll just say "I´m English".

News Flash:
You can NEVER change your Heritage.
You can ALWAYS change your CITIZENSHIP.
We are all AMERICAN CITIZENS but we are NOT AMERICANS by HERITAGE. Now that you know the difference, please open your mind and eyes and heart and start accepting the terms African Americans, Mexican Americans...and yes Afghan Americans :-)

I agree with you when you said if you don't like living in the USA, go wherever you feel has laws that cater to YOUR PARTICULAR needs and wants.

Agreed. But I honostly never got that, "we learned about the white men all year". I know in school we never did, if our teacher was "african american" we were always learning about some hero of theres that escaped slavery, and it never ended year after year it was the same. I could tell you a lot about slavery but I know I couldn't tell you the history of our nation or the wars that went on.

here's in addition... if we have "Miss Latino USA" why don't we have "Miss Snow-white USA"? because that would be racist... double standards everywhere. there is no Japanese Heritage months or Jewish Heritage month or Indian... we even don't have Native American Heritage months..
