Look to your experience and your understanding and interpretation of that experience. In this way, you will supercede theory.

Keep it in a conversational tone.
As if you were talking to a friend. Who gets bored easily :) .
That way you'd avoid jargon and sounding like a textbook.
Good question btw - we need to bear it in mind (some more so - thinking of my own answers) ..

when answering...since it is required to answer when asked..
1 Peter3:15.( But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear): colossians says 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
What is required of every man is to give answer not from your opinion...opinion is your own mind...rather ask the Lord what is the best answer according to scripture...this shows you are not trying to be a know it all to God...you are surrendering your will to him ..in seeking his wisdom and knowledge about the thing...I know based on What God is doing in my life and based on his word that He will give you an answer..God bless

By deciding in advance not to, and then by adhering to your decision. Kind of like in real life.
